You keep your health insurance until you are eligible for Medicare. You will then need to consider purchasing Medicare Part D Prescription coverage as well as a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan to supplement Original Medicare and help pay for covered services that Medicare does not fully pay for.
Dental insurance may be needed as well.
Be careful of discount cards for any health provider service. Be sure you know what is covered, and if they are accepted by your health providers and pharmacy.
